@vmj28 nothing in europe, gosh -.-

@subzero92MK South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Taiwan i believe. then the second gen came to the US, Canada, and Australia. I get all of my info from Wikipedia.

By subzero92MK on December 7th, 2011 at 5:20 pm

@vmj28 was the first generation sold only in japan?

@subzero92MK There are two generations, but the second generation was the only one sold in the United States, it was introduced into the U.S. market in 2007.

It sucks that Kia pulled this car off the US market, in favor of the new 2011 sportage. The rondo was cool looking and practical.

By giannial1985 on December 7th, 2011 at 6:13 pm

@UInACrash Kia stop making if for the USA, cause of slow sales. So they want people to buy the new 2011 sportage instead. It’s sad really, lol

By subzero92MK on December 7th, 2011 at 6:31 pm

how many generations of it are there?

With a fuel economy & cargo space not better than a RAv4 ( 4 cyl FWD ) I just waiting for diesel version ( maybe the day the hen gonna have tooth )

what do they mean when the car lacks air conditioning?

Does anyone know why KIA pulled this off it’s official site? I heard nothing about it being a one generation and out…

I have a 2008 Rondo LX, and agree that the V6 does not get GREAT gas mileage, but I hear the ’09 Rondo 4cyl is more powerful. And yes, the fold-flat combined with large/wide door, is great
for bringing large items(two mountain bikes, laid down..easy 2 do). Just wish a tad bit better gas mileage…but glad 2 have it.

I wouldn’t say extremely bad, but considering this is basically just a tall Kia Optima with the same engines, it is dissapointing that fuel economy is significantly lower. It’s a much better choice than a comparable size 4×2 SUV like Escape, RAV4, etc. Better handling, better fuel economy, lower lift-over height, and better ride.

Well said! and I agreed with you. :)

I have 2009 Rondo EX-VS model and I agree with “affer’s comments above!
Well done “KIA” (speaking about the Rondo Model) you have come along way
In such short years. Also my dealer ship near my home also gave me very good service. Keep in mind if you upgrade to the EX-VS (LUXURY MODEL) if you need the blue tooth/wireless headphone will not have it! Replaced by “Satellite Radio”
That was my only disappointment but everything else I luv it! 10++++++++

I’ve been driving one for over two years. Can’t say enough good things about it. Perfect family car.

dont match what?

By usernameavailable152 on December 8th, 2011 at 12:18 am

too bad the v6 model is actually extremely bad on gas.

By omarbearcub on December 8th, 2011 at 12:47 am

easy, don’t watch them anymore…

By davidhalifax on December 8th, 2011 at 1:46 am

This is a very practical car without going to full blown gas guzzling midsize SUVs …

I hate the commercials for this car.

I REALLY want a Mazda MX5, but my mom will not let me buy one just because it has two seats and she thinks its too small and looks terrible.

I am only 18! I don’t need more than 2 seats!

Proud owner of an 09 Grand Touring, I’ve owner many many cars and never have I loved a car so much!! It’s an absolute blast to drive with the 6speed manual :) I actually get 32mpg mixed driving if I take it easy, but it only drops to 25mpg driving it like I stole it! The 09 looks a lot better IMO, and it definitely turns more heads!!

I am lucky enough to have one tucked away ready for a nice sunny day!! I friggin love it, it is 4 years old yet it looks better than the day i drove it home from the dealer, due to taking very good care of it.
